Différance, is an experimental, pictorial typeface. Each letter is represented by an image of a mouth instead of a symbol. The project aims to challenge the relationship between sign and signifier, expanding what classifies as a letterform.

Différance is a  term coined by Jacques Derrida. It's a central concept in Derrida's "deconstruction," a critical view of the relationship between text and meaning. The term différance means "difference and deferral of meaning."
